Daniel Timins is an Attorney at Law and a Certified Financial Planner. Prior to practicing law, Dan worked at Merrill Lynch, American Express Financial Advisors, Linsco Private Ledger and Alliance Bernstein Investments. Dan received his Bachelor of Arts from Washington University, and his Juris Doctorate from Pace Law School. Dan specializes in Estate Tax Planning, Probate, Trust Administration, Medicaid Planning and Business Succession, and is licensed to practice law in New York.

Dan helped draft proposed New York state legislation for insurance law and the Estates Powers and Trusts Law, EPTL 5-1.4. He has taught continuing legal education classes for LawLine, New York State Bar Association, New York City Bar Association, numerous laws schools and county bar associations, and has been interviewed or published by the New York Times, Kiplinger’s, Investopedia, and several other editorials and periodicals.

Dan’s professional goal is to help the public and his clients achieve their legal and financial goals and desires through interactive education rather than passive learning.
